Q: I have never read the Anita Blake series, can I still join?
A: Of course! It is not required for anyone to have read Laurell K. Hamilton's books to join. Just an interest in this world is all that's required. If you have any questions about the concept or the books, you are sure to find the information on the board, PM the staff, or simply ask in the CBOX someone will be able to answer your question one way or another. Another wonderful site is to wiki Anita Blake.
Q: Can I bring in any of the canon characters, such as Jean-Claude or Anita herself into the storyline?
A: No, canon characters are not accepted. Skin Trade wishes to separate itself from the characters created by Laurell K. Hamilton. These wonderful characters were built and developed by the author herself, and we feel it necessary to leave those creations to the one who made them. This also opens up doors for individuals to exercise their own creativity by implementing them into developing your own character. This gives Skin Trade a chance to create it's own intricate mythology.
Q: When I apply and I get approved, can I create a second or third character?
A: Yes, of course. There are no time limits to when you can create another character after you have been approved. Each account will be allowed up to seven characters. All you have to do is fill out the proper bio that fits the specified character and post it for a staff's approval.
Q: Why didn't I get accepted?
A: The administration will always give you reasons as to why your bio was not initially accepted and how you can improve your character's bio. The reasons are, but not limited to: not enough detail, lack of proper paragraph and/or sentence structure, for not closely reading and heeding the rules, and not providing the correct secret word. These are just some of the common reasons why a bio is not accepted at first. Bios are not rejected, but rather given room for improvement.
You can read more about how to organize your character templates by reading the rules stated here. These rules are especially important to get your bio accepted:

Q: So, can you tell me the secret word?
A: Nope, you can find the secret word in the rules. Make sure you read those rules carefully, they will help you along the way in how to enter and play on the Skin Trade board. To read the rules and get a feel for the storyline, please venture on over here:

Q: Can I bring in a high-level character immediately upon entering Skin Trade?
A: Any character brought in or created for this board cannot start out at an Alpha (shifter) or Master (vampire) status. You can earn these by roleplaying, being active and participating in contests like the writing and graphics challenges.
Exceptions are made on a case by case basis, however, and inquiries can be sent to Duane.
Q: I'm having difficulty in coming up with a character. Is there a restriction on certain kinds of characters in Skin Trade?
A: Yes. Once one race has gathered enough members, a restriction or ban will be placed upon the character type until the other races begin to fill out. These restrictions/bans can be found here:
RULES
Q: Who are the administration and how can I contact them?
A: The administrators at Skin Trade are always open to helping out however way possible. If you have any question, you can contact them through their PM, email or IM:
